Is A Qwerty Windows Phone On the Way?

Nokia have uploaded a video to their YouTube channel which could indicate that a portrait Qwerty Windows Phone is on the way.

The video, which you can view below was posted on Friday 20th September, titled Mobile Mastery: how to make it feel like your smartphone gives you superpowers. The video looks at the power of smartphones and apps. But one interesting graphic in the video, pointed out to us by Twitter user @ZaidK9 which illustrates various devices, a tablet, which Nokia are expected to announce at Nokia World on October 22nd, a regular slab style Windows Phone and an Asha device, while the forth image is an E6 style portrait Qwerty device, but with very obvious Windows Phone Back, Home and Search keys. The image first appears in the video around 19 seconds in.

This could just be an example of a smartphone which would be familiar to a lot of people, and not actually be an indication of anything. But the fact it also shows a tablet makes me wonder if it could be a clue.

What do you think? It a Qwerty Windows Phone on the way? Would Windows Phone work on that type of hardware? I would be very interested to hear your views.

Well spotted Zaid, thanks for letting us know.
