Evleaks, as he is known on Twitter has shared a picture of what he says is the Asha 500. Looking very similar to the Asha 501, with the exception of what appears to be a clear plastic casing around the shell of the device, though this could be removable. The 500 appears to have the same dimensions and screen size as it’s slightly older brother, the 501. From the image, we can see that the 500 will also use the FastLane UI, which has a lot of similarities to Swipe UI.
Not much else is known about it so far, but I am a big fan of the 501, and will be keeping my eyes open for any more news on this handsome little device. Hopefully, if the numbering is correct, then this could hit the markets at a slightly lower price point than the 501 did, which in my opinion was slightly too high.
