According to a article in the telecompaper, Nokia has returned as the top dog in Russia beating out Samsung by 2% points. This is good news for Nokia to reclaim its Dominance although with the upcoming purchase not sure what that means anymore. Below is the article from the Telecompaper.
Nokia has returned to the leadership in Russian handset market this summer, reports Vedomosti citing preliminary estimates from mobile retail chain Euroset. Nokia’s handset market penetration, in units, totaled 29 percent in summer, which was up by 2 percentage points from spring. The figure for Samsung declined 30 percent to 27 percent. Nokia’s strong performance was supported by the low cost of its devices.
