This post is a bit of a selfish one to be honest. For me it see’s my two passions colliding; A Nokia smartphone, the Lumia 1020 to be precise, and Liverpool FC, the football team (Soccer to you yanks) I have followed since the eighties.
Linda Pizzuti, the glamorous wife of Liverpool Football Club’s principle owner John W Henry was seen at her husbands side during a pre season friendly between Liverpool and Valerenga in Oslo Norway clutching and later taking photos with her yellow Nokia Lumia 1020.
With the release of Flagship Lumia’s in the past we have seen various celebrities such as Dwayne Johnson being gifted a 1020 on release day and Jessica Simpson with a 920, but I’m not sure if Linda Pizzuti is in the same category as the others (not in the UK at least) meaning this may not be an attempt at getting the phone seen in public, and may mean Linda personally chose the device. The pair often attend Liverpool matches, I will be looking out for that 1020 throughout the season.
Oh, and if you are interested, Liverpool beat Valerenga on Wednesday night. 4-1.
