The Nokia Lumia 1020 could be a matter of weeks away from launching in China, according to WPDang
The Chinese website say that the Lumia 1020, which launched on 26th of July in the USA on AT&T, has “Passed the ministry of certification”* (equivalent to FCC?) and will launch exclusively on Suning (Chinese carrier?) on the 15th August. The sim free price before tax and subsidies is quoted as 4xxx yen. As a guide 4,000 Yen is about $652/£428.
Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be any concrete announcements on the Lumia 1020 launching in China, other than WPDang, who “understand through news sources”. So, best file this under “Perhaps” for now, or “Rumour” which ever you prefer.
