Joe Belfiore recently responded to a user’s concerns that Microsoft has not been listening to consumers and is ignoring them, given that GDR2 was the only update that we’ve seen from the company in quite a while (not counting those from manufacturers… I mean Nokia). He points out that while working on improving the OS for future devices, a lot of work is being put into bringing those improvements to current devices.
That last part sounded real good. “… there’s more coming later this year, and still more after that.” Sounds to me like we may see GDR3 this year like we hoped, and WP Blue following after. Still, sooner than later would be better, and Microsoft has seemed a bit quiet about Windows Phone, what with all this excitement about Windows 8.1, so the frustration is definitely justified.
