Nokia Lumia 1020 Accessories availability at AT&T

Nokia usually introduces a new line of cool accessories each time they release a flagship device. Remember last year along with the Lumia 920, Nokia released the wireless charging plate, wireless charging stand, PlayUp speakers and PowerUp wireless charging speakers?

When the AT&T exclusive Lumia 1020 was announced a week ago, Nokia introduced the camera grip and wireless charging shell. Unlike the Lumia 920 that has built-in wireless charging, you will need to buy the wireless charging shell for the Lumia 1020.

I reached out to AT&T and inquired about the accessories availability and according to my AT&T source only the Black camera grip will be available in store and you can order the white and yellow camera grip from their website. AT&T will NOT carry wireless charging shells and I believe you will need to look for them on Amazon.com or other reputable online retailers. I have contacted Nokia US regarding which stores will sell the wireless charging shells and I am still waiting to hear back from them.

I would recommend getting the camera grip (PD-95 G) which will allow you take stunning pics with one hand and will give your mobile device a SLR type feel. It also comes a built-in battery (1020 mAh) for some added juice. You can charge the phone and the built-in battery concurrently via USB wall charger.

I checked out Nokia US’ Lumia 1020 accessories page and just found the camera grip. It doesn’t mention the wireless charging shell, which is odd because it was shown during the Zoom Reinvented event.

Let us know which combination of Lumia 1020 and camera grip you are planning getting? I personally like the yellow Lumia 1020 and black camera grip combination.
