T-Mobile JUMP! program kicks off

T-Mobile’s Just Upgrade My Phone! (JUMP!) plan kicked off on Sunday July 14.  We were at the unveiling of the new plan last Wednesday in New York City.

Existing and new T-Mobile customers can now sign up for this innovative program, that allows the user to upgrade their phone up to two times a year.  For  membership fee of $10 per month, the customers in this pogram will also receive total protect (theft, loss, damage or device malfunction).  You will not have to wait 2 years or 730 days to become eligible for a new device.  After six month you will be able to use first of two annual upgrades, regardless if you don’t like the phone or simply feel like upgrading to the latest smart phone.  This is another bold move by T-Mobile to move away from traditional mobile contracts. The  Nokia Lumia 925 and Sony Xperia Z, both T-Mobile exclusive devices, will be arriving at  this week.

new devicesDuring last week’s event, T-Mobile also announced that it has turned on 4G/LTE coverage in 116 metropolitan cities and it’s hoping to reach 200 metropolitan cities by end of 2013.  This should increase the number of users from 157 Million to 200 Million. TMobile is #1 currently in New York City, Miami, Washington DC, Houston.

Below is some more detail about the plan:

I have also added a comparison chart with other carriers:

T-Mobile and Samsung teamed up and created the #Hate2Wait sweepstakes where you could win a Samsung Galaxy S 4 each day for the next 730 day.  For your convenience we have added the link here so you can submit your story why you think two years is too long.  The grand prize winner will have their story featured on national T-Mobile commercial.
Let us know what you think of this new program and will you sign up for it?
