In an on going effort to keep New Yorker’s connected AT&T has unveiled AT&T Street Charge . AT&T Street Charge is a pilot initiative that allows free solar charging station in select locations across the 5 boroughs of NYC. Between now and the end of summer, AT&T will deploy approximately 25 AT&T Street Charge solar mobile charging units across the five boroughs. Along with the two solar mobile charging units now live at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 1, charging units are also available today at Governor’s Island, Union Square and Pier 1 at Riverside Park.
AT&T has been excellent in this area 2 yrs ago they released 26 wifi locations across New York City Parks and last year became one of the first major carriers to offer underground cellular service on 36 subway platforms.
