A Nokia Lumia running on a quad core CPU has been spotted on Benchmark website GFXBench.com (see it here) running a Qualcomm Adreno 305, which should mean future Nokia Lumias will soon come with higher specs, which while not particularly necessary as current Lumia devices running on dual core CPUs are plenty smooth, it is be important to keep up with the competition, such as Android which has some devices running on octa core processors. And my guess is the iPhone 6 (not 5S) will come with quad core.
Another interesting detail in the benchmark is the screen size (actually resolution) which is listed as 720 x 1280, as so far all Lumia devices have come with a screen ratio of 15:9 (480 x 800 and 1280 x 768), meaning the 720p screen used in the test could be a temporary measure ahead of a possible 1080p device.
With an up coming Nokia event, titled Zoom Reinvented being held in New York on July 11th, there are some expectations that the highly anticipated Nokia EOS will be announced. Will that announcement include the news that it is running on a quad core processor?
