Reports from Windows Phone Central say that the heavily rumoured Nokia EOS Code Name : Elvis, which is expected to pack camera hardware similar to the Nokia 808 Pureview, with a 41MP camera, but running Windows Phone, is being tested by AT&T.
The article, which you can find HERE says;
We’ve been able to confirm a few tidbits about this upcoming Windows Phone, which we will reveal here for the first time… the device is entering early testing at AT&T should tell us a number of things, including its potential reveal/release date. A July time-frame is certainly not out of the question and Nokia themselves during the Lumia 925 event mentioned another “continuation of the Lumia story” later this summer”
Quite what “Early testing” involves, I am not sure, but if true is exciting news for those who have been looking forward to this device. This would indicate of course that when the EOS does arrive it will be another AT&T exclusive. There is no indication yet of what the numbering will be when it launches, maybe Lumia 950, or 1020?
Windows Phone Central also list the specs of “Elvis” as the following:
- 41 MP camera with Xenon flash
- Nokia Pro Camera
- 32 GB internal
- OLED Screen 768X1280
- WP8 V 8.0.10322.71
- FM radio
- Flip to silence
- Polycarbonate body
- Takes a 35 MP picture and a 5 MP picture at the same time one to save one to share
- Comes in yellow
- No SD card
- About 1 mm thinner than Lumia 920 with a big camera hump
- No visible OS changes
Oh, just a quickie, here is an article which we nearly reported, before Windows Phone Central updated the post to say the photo, below was “not accurate”. None the less, have a look HERE to read about what was believed to be an ealry photo of a Nokia “phablet”.
The cyan Nokia in the top right corner was thought to be a Nokia “Phablet” but Windows Phone Central’s sources have now discredited it.
