Just a day ahead of a Nokia announcement in India tomorrow, reliable ‘evleaks’ tweeted this photo of what he/she says is the Nokia Asha 501, which will be the latest in a growing line of budget Asha devices released by the Finnish handset maker.
The Asha 501 is supposedly going to follow the N9/Lumia “Fabula” design language much more closely, so that it falls in line more with the current top-end smartphone range of Lumia devices.
If rumours are true, then we will see yet another Asha to jump out of the gate tomorrow. And going by what has gone before recently with the Asha 310 (with wifi, capacitive multitouch display and some N9-swipiness) and by the fact that this is the ‘highest number’ an Asha has gone since the first Asha 200, we could be seeing a feature phone with a lot of ‘smarts’.
Let’s see what happens tomorrow at the Nokia announcement.
