Within a recent review of the Nokia Lumia 620, we compared its Camera with that of the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 and perceived it to be a flaw in the Nokia Lumia 620 arsenal when compared with the other two devices. We have therefor decided compare the output from the three devices.
We shall start by comparing specs for the three phones. The first comparison is resolution, the digital camer property most compared, with the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 sporting an 8 MP (3264 x 2448 pixels) camera, whereas the Nokia Lumia 620 only has 5 MP (3264 x 2448 pixels) which causes us to expect images and video taken with the Nokia Lumia 620 to be lower quality.
Another mark against the Nokia Lumia 620 (f/2.4), n this comparison, is that it has a smaller aperture than the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 (f/2.4), meaning that less light gets processed.
Finally, the other factors that can impact on image quality, focal length and focal range, are the same across all three contenders meaning there should be impact on the comparison.
Below are some comparison images and video taken with the Nokia Lumia 620, Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 900.

CONCLUSION
After comparing the images and video footage (above) we are left thinking that even though the Nokia Lumia 620 loses on paper it holds its ground in the real world, providing an output which is at least on par with the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 900.
One observation we made during this versus battle was that our trial Nokia Lumia 620 did not support half press of the camera button to focus pre-image capture, although on screen messages implied it should. This is a feature provided on all other Nokia Lumia devices we tested.
i guess nokia 620 has nice 5mp shooter, nokia lumia 800 not good 8mp camera and lumia 900 just average. 😉
Great post! The 620 look like a great device for the price!
