Serko and I were invited by Nokia US to be Nokia PureView Technology ambassador for the Photo Walk that was held on the day before the 2013 Social Media Week New York kick off. I was joined by Ben from Crowdcentric who brought five AT&T exclusive Lumia 920 for the photo walk participants to use to take pictures and introduce them to the PureView technology. The meeting point was at Soho Gallery for Digital Art (SGDA) on 138 Sullivan Street in Soho neighborhood. For this photo walk I was tasked to submit handful of pictures taken on my mobile device to SGDA and it was showcased in their gallery.
Around 20 people participated in the photo walk on a chilly but sunny Sunday afternoon and for the next 2.5 hours we were tasked to take pictures (scavenger hunt) of 14 topics. Right after we walked out, we lost 2/3 of the group and I ended up with six people who walked from Soho to the New Museum and back to SGDA via the Nespresso boutique. I showed them some techniques on how to take pictures on the 41 MP 808 PureView and Lumia 920. Pictures taken with any of the 5 Lumia 920s were instantly uploaded to Skydrive via AT&T’s fast LTE broadband. Ben mentioned that the best submission with the Lumia 920 will be displayed during Social Media Week and one lucky participant will win a Nokia Lumia 920.
