Just four days agothat the owners of the Nokia Lumia 710 would not be getting the Windows Phone 7.8 update. Now confirmation comes from T-Mobile themselves on this situation.
At this time, the Nokia Lumia 710 will not receive the software update. T-Mobile is committed to enhancing customers’ experience with our devices, including providing upgrades to the latest operating systems, and T-Mobile aims to deliver software upgrades when it will provide a better experience for our customers. We’ll share additional information on upgrades for the Nokia Lumia 710 when they are available.
This statement seems to be a nice way (written by someone in T-Mobile’s PR department) of saying “you will not be getting the Windows Phone 7.8 update we know your mad so…sorry…well maybe..Ok not really”. The part that tells me T-Mobile really doesn’t get it is “..T-Mobile aims to deliver software upgrades when it will provide a better experience for our customers…” What?!? How is the Windows Phone 7.8 update not a better experience for “our customers”? The value add of this update is HUGE! This lack of update is a failure all the way around by T-Mobile.
