Echo Echo

echoechoThis morning a minor update, with some major changes, has released for Echo Echo taking it from version 2.0.4749.12153 to 2.0.4771.20491 with the following change information from the developer.

Finally the long awaited updated with avatars for your friends, a completely redesigned interface – optional LIVE tracking and many other features.  A lot of you have been asking for this – and here it is.

For those of you unaware of the app, it is one of the simplest ways to answer the question, “Where are you?”.

The basic premise is that you can send a message to friends which provides their location on a map making it easier to meet up or see their location if in trouble. Enabling push for incoming messages needs to be enabled within the app to ensure that all information is live and that your friends can find you.

The new live functionality uses a time bare which can be incremented in 15 minute intervals with the default being a single location check. We need the time to check this further, but think it’s a great extension for the app as many people have been looking for this functionality on Windows Phone without having to use a sports tracking app like Runtastic Pro.

We also noticed the ability to favourite people from your contacts, but we may have just missed this in the previous release.

Did we mention that Echo Echo is FREE.
