Microsoft introduced today the newest version of their mobile phone OS, Windows Phone 8, at an event in San Francisco, following last week's celebrated product launches in New York City (photo above) of Windows 8 and the brand-new Microsoft Surface tablet. This latest iteration of Windows Phone will power the latest offerings from Nokia, HTC, and Samsung, including the highly anticipated Nokia Lumia 920 with its class-exclusive Optical Image Stabilized camera feature. The new operating system is jam-packed with unique new features, among them a lock-screen with Live Apps, resizable Live Tiles for greater personalization, Data Sense to manage data usage, and one of my favorites: Kid's Corner, which allows for worry-free usage of your smartphone's games and apps by a minor.
The Meet Windows Phone 8 video from Joe Belfiore, Corporate VP of Windows Phone, provides a front-row seat to learn about all the new features available now on the latest Nokia, HTC, or a Samsung Windows Phone 8 models. Check it out!
