Every year Microsoft does a challenge called the Imagine Cup in where students use their creativity in solving real world problems. One of this years winners is enable talk. What this program does is translate sign language hand gestures into words via special gloves and a Windows Phone.
The gloves have special sensors in them and a translating processor which than transmits the information to Windows Phone which inturn gives the user of this product a “voice” so they can communicate with everyone naturally to them and so that everyone can understand them.

This advancement is HUGE for people that are hard of hearing and can’t freely communicate with everyone in the outside word. Bravo quadSqaud for truly making a difference in peoples lives!
