In other news the Finnish company Offscreen will join the “100 million downloads club on Nokia Store. There are Pico Brothers, India Games and Inode Entertainment who are already in the club!
According to Harri Myllynen, CEO of Offscreen Technologies, they learned simple apps can be the most successful. As said most of their Apps are very simple applications from mobile games, utilities, media, entertainment and internet apps categories.
In addition, by making their apps available for free, according to Harri, they see an immediate 100-fold increase in downloads. Offscreen then uses in-app advertising or in-app purchasing to monetize these apps — with half the company’s application revenue coming from in-app advertising.
There is a YouTube video by Nokia Developer Forum featuring this, check it out here.
