If you haven’t heard by now some of the Nokia Lumia 900’s have “a memory management issue was discovered that could, in some cases, lead to loss of data connectivity.” In English that means you can’t connect get the mobile networks internet connection.
Nokia decided to take swift action in this one. Over at Nokia Conversations (Nokia’s official blog) there is a post by Chris Weber (President of Nokia Inc in the US) and Jo Harlow (Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for Nokia) letting everyone know that this little inconvenience will be fixed immediately and you will be compensated for your trouble. (Unlike Apple who just points and laughs at your issues)
If you have already purchased a Lumia 900, we are making two options available to you:
• You will be able to update your device with the latest software via Zune on or around Monday, April 16th.
• Swap your current Lumia 900 for an updated Lumia 900
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. As a gesture of good will, every individual who has already purchased a Nokia Lumia 900 — or who will purchase one between now and April 21st – will receive a $100 credit to their AT&T bill from Nokia.
So there you go Nokia makes it right when things are wrong. Bravo Nokia! Class move looking out for your customers.
