Firmly in the “Really cool but I have no use for this” category is the app Netview for the N9.
Netview is described like this:
Netview is a VNC based remote control for your phone. Netview enables you to view and interact with your phone from your laptop via a wifi connection. It provides an easy way to access the phones’ apps from a computer.
* Mouse and keyboard input
* Orientation changes
* Password protection
* Only one viewer connected at a time
* Secure (SSL encrypted) connection
* Connection via HTTP from your web browser
This package includes binaries from X11VNC and OpenSSL software
One would assume that a developer would have more than a few uses for this app. I have tested it and it works fine as noted by the screenshot below.
If you want to check it out, or download it you can do so here.
