Sami Elopuro (Sales Director of Nokia largest merchant) stated the day before Christmas Eve, that Nokia’s sales over the Christmas season was more than expected. In fact Nokia sold a quarter million handsets during the Holiday season in Finland alone.
The Nokia 500, N9, and Nokia 700 were some of the top seller during the Holiday season. Plus the new Asha series sold so well that demand “have been vastly more than the delivery rates.”
While these sales figures aren’t that important vs Nokia’s total sales but, it does show that even after a year of changes and downsizing the Finns have not lost their taste for Nokia.
