In case you were wondering if Customer Service is dead from cell phone carriers I am here to tell you it’s not. While it’s true you can’t get great customer service from the big boys anymore, it is far from dead at the local carrier level.
Case in point….My carrier of choice is a small local company called Immix. They were out at community event and I mentioned in passing that I would renew my contract if they could get me an N9. They told me they would work on getting me one. I didn’t think much of it being that I live in the states and the phone is not even available here.
I was pretty shocked (and happy) when I got an email from them stating they got one in from their supplier and I could come in to renew very shortly. I stopped by to check out the E5 for wife and was informed that they stopped carrying the E5. So I called my wife and she told me that she really wanted the E5, and guess what? They sent out an email right than and there to get me an E5!
Now that is customer service!! They brought in not one but TWO phones that they didn’t stock, one of them not even available in my country! Anyone want to walk into AT&T or Verizon and try that? Let me know how that works out.
I am a big fan of local carriers and have been for sometime now for just this reason. Back in the early 2000’s I lived in the Carolinas and used a local company called Sun Com (now bought out by T-Mobile) and while they never went this far to keep me as a customer I always felt they went much further than AT&T ever did to earn and keep my business.
Here is a big thanks tofor getting me my N9 and a little bit of advise that perhaps when your AT&T/Verizon contract runs out that you should look
