I stumbled across an interesting article from The Register called “Nokia’s Great Lost Platform” This a mammoth five page read that takes you into the inter-workings and gyrations of Nokia during a time when opportunity knocked at their door.
It manly focus on “The Hildon UI” it’s development, success, and it’s ultimate defeat. It would be daft of me to try to summarize the whole article in this short space. Let’s just say that I don’t think Nokia would be in the same position it is in today if Hildon was successfully brought to market.
