Just recently Nuance confirmed that they bought Swype for $100,000,000 USD. What exactly this mean for Swype is yet to be seen, but for Nuance it means they just about have the text inputting market cornered.
Rumor is that Nuance is the is company behind the iPhone4s “Siri” system and being that they already have ownership of the T9 input system, this transaction to buy Swype out completes the trifecta. Now that Nuance owns Swype and is tight with Apple could Swype on the iPhone be to for off?
