That picture above pretty much sums it up. In San Francisco Intel announced that it launched a development partnership with Google. This partership would not only get Intel’s Atom processor into the smartphone market it also effectively kills MeeGo.
Truly MeeGo never got off the ground to speak, the most widely known “MeeGo device” is the Nokia N9. If the N9 was truly a MeeGo device I would be saddened by this news but the N9 is running Maemo 6 re-branded as MeeGo and not a full on MeeGo. Alas poor MeeGo we hardly knew you.
