A few bloggers are causing a buzz with the #NokiaCon hash tag for the Nokia Connection 2011 showcase at CommunicAsia 2011 (June 21-24, 2011) in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Resort. It’s being billed as ‘Nokia’s biggest event of the year, does this mean there is no NokiaWorld in 2011? It’s an invitation only event with the following guest speakers: Stephen Elop (CEO), Mary McDowell (Executive VP of Mobile Phones), Marco Argenti (Sr Vice President Development & Marketplace). You can check out the Nokia Connection 2011 event’s programme. There’s a networking event prior to the speeches. After lunch, there are Nokia Developers Workshop and Media Interviews scheduled.
There’s a link for registration that brings you to a login screen that is intended for Nokia Personnel Only. But below the login button you see in small print “Please send an email to event secretariat for registration.” When you click on the link it opens a blank email with [email protected] prepopulated. I believe people who are interested can submit a request to be invited. At this point, I am not sure if any individual passes are being handed out for this event.
If you reside in Singapore, I can recommend you to attend this event. I can guarantee you that you’ll be able to see the newest mobiles in Nokia Ecosystem and most of the time they’ll let you play around with the demo units.
