Disabling Java script on the N8 will improve the phone’s ability to render content-heavy websites such as Engadget’s more smoothly and quickly. The iPhone doesn’t render flash on its browser, and disabling this feature puts the N8’s browser on more even ground with other rival smartphones. I’ve render flash sites on my N8 beautifully, but in general, with Java-script disabled, I have found the N8’s browser to be more responsive.
Here are the steps:
1. Open browser
2. Click on Options/Settings/General
3. On the General Page, click on “Java/ECMA script” to disable it (see picture below)
4. Point your browser to www.engadget.com, and you will see the page load quickly, and render perfectly.
