Its about time, as I am sick and tired of Nokia having to put out a special version of phones that would work specially on US AT&T 3G due to the pending lawsuit with QUALCOMM. Retailers don’t even know what they were selling due to too many version of the same handset. So many people I know from Howard Forums were confuse to product they were buying, heck Nokia had to make 4 versions of the N95 due to this lawsuit.
The real good thing about this settlement is now Nokia can make one handset that can work everywhere else, no more N95-1, N95-2, N95-3 crap. Just one handset that can work all over the world.
Now that is finally over, lets move on to what’s more important. I can already imagine Nokia coming out of its cage with the tri band WCDMA chips on their future handsets
Hoping for Nokia to add tri band WCDMA chip on the soon anticipated Nokia N96.
Thanks to both parties QUALCOMM and Nokia, its definitely a Win Win situation for both. As you can see both companies stocks were on a high today.
Qualcomm shares Thursday jumped 17% to 52.43, a more than two-year high. Nokia shares rose 2.2% to 27.29.
What’s next Nokia? Buy QUALCOMM?
